Flag Signing Event

Inspired by Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Roberta Hayashi, Dr. Karen Korematsu, and Civil Rights Attorney Dale Minami, Santa Clara Judge Johnny Cepeda Gogo obtained a WWII era, 48-star, American flag with the goal of inviting ALL Japanese American incarceration camp internees to sign the flag. The first flags has been donated to the Japanese American Museum of San Jose, Japanese American National Museum, the Fred T. Korematstu Institute, and JAM-Oregon; one flag will travel to colleges and universities. For more information about the project, please see the following site:
